Stokes Moore and Viviana Schuyler make the "nice" list at Bainbridge's Jingle Bell Jog

In Bainbridge, Georgia, the Bainbridge-Decatur County Recreation Authority decided to host a Jingle Bell Jog 5K. They scheduled the race for Earle May Boat Basin Park on Thursday evening, 20 December 2018, and invited everyone. They didn't invite the rain, but it came anyway.

Despite the damp conditions, Stokes Moore made it to the race. A Bainbridge High junior and member of his school's cross-country team, Moore won the race in 19:09. Viviana Schuyler, a sophomore on the Bainbridge High cross-country team, took the women's title, finishing third overall in 19:23.

Hayden Griffin was runner-up in the 3.1-mile race, running 19:19. Ridge Harper was the top master runner and third male finisher, placing fourth overall in 19:38.

Adrian Parker finished second in the women's standings, placing seventh overall in 25:43. Suzanne Angell was the first woman master and third female finisher, eighth overall in 27:00.

Coming out to play in the rain wasn't without its compensations. Not only did the athletes get to run a 5K race, but they enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa afterwards. Plus, the awards were presented by Santa.

Eighteen athletes finished Bainbridge, Georgia's 2018 Jingle Bell Jog 5K.
