Being pre-registered for a road race is great. There's no scrambling around for your checkbook or correct change, and no filling out forms--it's already done. The only thing better than being pre-registered is already having your race packet in hand on race day. That way all you have to do is arrive at the starting area, warm up, stretch a little, and start racing when the gun goes off.We know this, so that's why the Palace Saloon 5K not only offers pre-registration but also early packet pick-up. Early packet pick-up for the 35th annual Palace Saloon 5K will be on Wednesday, 8 April 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM ET at the Palace Saloon, 1303 Jackson Bluff Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32304. If you've already entered, we'll have a race number and a T-shirt there for you, and you won't have anything left to do Saturday except run. You can also pre-register right at early packet pick-up! How special is that?

You can still pre-register and pick up your packet at James Messer Fields Park from 6:45 to 7:45 am ET on race-day morning, 11 April 2009, or even wait till the last minute and late register on the morning of the race. But for anyone who wants the extra service of early packet pick-up, we're providing it at the Palace on Wednesday evening.
