Hodge leaves the crowd behind at Run Baby Run

2017 Run Baby Run 5KWith an 800-meter lead in a 5000-meter race, it was as if Tallahassee, Florida master runner Paul Hodge was in a different race from the other athletes. Hodge ran 18:55 to win the seventh annual Run Baby Run 5K in Marianna, Florida on Saturday morning, 7 October 2017. Ashley Johnson was the top woman in the race, placing seventh overall in 28:28. The event took place at Citizen's Lodge Park in Marianna.


Ivan Cortes took second in 22:19. Master runner Mark McCarra was third in 22:35.


Amanda Dehn was second in the women's standings and ninth overall in 29:13. Cissy Barfield was the first woman master and third female finisher, tenth overall in 30:28.


31 athletes finished the 2017 Run Baby Run 5K. Proceeds of the annual race benefit A Women's Pregnancy Center of Marianna, Florida.
