Rosatti and Rogers race well in Adel

Nick Rosatti is on the tennis team at Cook High School in Adel, Georgia. Rosatti was at the school on Saturday morning, 1 March 2014, but he wasn't there to hit a few balls around the court. He was there to race in the Adel Kiwanis Club's annual 5K, as were 48 other athletes. Rosatti was the fastest of the crew, though, winning the 3.1-mile race through the streets of Adel in 18:59. Adel runner Jonathan McDaniel finished runner-up in 19:59. Cook Middle School cross-country runner Cody Pezent took third in 20:32. Adel's Samuel Goberdhan was fourth in 20:53.


In a close race for the women's title, ten-year-old Mackenzie Rogers edged out Valdosta master runner Alice Smoot for fifth, 23:37 to 23:38. Cook High cross-country runner Brittany Mixon took third in the women's standings, finishing 9th overall in 24:04.


Steven Schramm of Adel, Georgia, was the first male master in the race, placing 8th overall in 24:00.
