Spradley, Ashley add to their laurels at Race Judicata 5K

Don't let the results confuse you, Panama City's 26th annual Race Judicata 5K wasn't the same race as the second annual Moving In Memory Of Marline 10K. It is true, though, that Panama City's Nathan Spradley won both races, and Arnold High's Michaela Ashley was the women's champion of both. Spradley ran 17:30 at the 30 April 2011 edition of the Race Judicata, finishing seventeen seconds up on second-place runner Challen Hyman. Slade Ward was the top master runner in the race, placing sixth overall in 20:37. Michaela Ashley won the women's title with a 21:12 performance, over a minute better than the women's runner-up, Mei-Shen Edwards, at 22:21. Marty Kirkland, treasurer of the Panhandle Runners & Triathletes Club, posted a 26:40 to finish as the fastest woman master in the race.

The 26th annual Race Judicata was sponsored by the Bay County Bar Association together with the Panhandle Runners & Triathletes Club. Proceeds from the race were donated to the Junior Museum of Bay County. 90 athletes finished the race, which started in front of the Bay County Courthouse.
