After running 20:06 for third in 2013 and 20:26 for second in 2014, master runner Carter Hay was back for the third annual Break-A-Leg 5K on 21 February 2015. This time Hay ran 19:32 in the Tallahassee, Florida, race; fast enough to win by 300 meters and also fast enough to set a new course record. The previous record had been Karl Hempel's 19:33, run at the first Break-A-Leg 5K in 2013. Like the winner, runner-up Randall Porcher also improved on his time in the 2014 race, lowering his mark from 22:00 to 20:48. Running his first Break-A-Leg 5K, Cole Tessier was third in 20:59. Montford Middle School cross-country runner Hawthorne Hay finished fourth in 21:16.Former Leon High cross-country runner Stephanie Davis won the women's title at the Break-A-Leg 5K, placing tenth overall in 23:50. Davis, another veteran of the Break-A-Leg 5K, had finished fourth in the women's standings of the 2014 race with a 24:26. Corinne Porcher was the women's runner-up and second woman finisher, coming in 13th overall in 24:15.
146 athletes finished the 3.1-mile race, a fundraiser for Tallahassee's Young Actors Theatre.
