It wasn't the fastest time in the history of the Dothan, Alabama, Southeast Alabama Community Foundation Half Marathon, but it was the closest finish. Dan Enos finished a scant three seconds ahead of Andrew Ackles, 1:27:02 to 1:27:05, to win the fourth annual SACF Half Marathon on Saturday morning, 7 February 2015. Ackles is a member of the United States Air Force Seven Summits Team, which isn't a running group, but was nevertheless fit enough to make it to the peak of Mount Everest in 2013. Aleasha Liddle of Ft. Rucker, Alabama, was the women's winner, placing fourth overall in 1:35:59 in the 13.1-mile race. Dothan, Alabama, runner Mike Houston took the first male master spot, finishing 11th overall in 1:44:01. The first female master was Kathy Gannon, 14th overall and the women's runner-up in 1:45:28.108 athletes finished the race. The course toured the west side of Dothan, starting and finishing near Flowers Hospital.
