Despite the damp conditions, Stokes Moore made it to the race. A Bainbridge High junior and member of his school's cross-country team, Moore won the race in 19:09. Viviana Schuyler, a sophomore on the Bainbridge High cross-country team, took the women's title, finishing third overall in 19:23.
Hayden Griffin was runner-up in the 3.1-mile race, running 19:19. Ridge Harper was the top master runner and third male finisher, placing fourth overall in 19:38.
Adrian Parker finished second in the women's standings, placing seventh overall in 25:43. Suzanne Angell was the first woman master and third female finisher, eighth overall in 27:00.
Coming out to play in the rain wasn't without its compensations. Not only did the athletes get to run a 5K race, but they enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa afterwards. Plus, the awards were presented by Santa.
