Nick Rosatti and Greta Mikell finish first in the Phi Mu 5K

Ten days after winning the Lowndes High Turkey Trot 5K by inches, Nick Rosatti won another Valdosta, Georgia road race by nearly 600 meters. Rosatti, a member of the Valdosta State University Blazer cross-country squad, ran 17:57 to win the inaugural Phi Mu 5K on Sunday morning, 8 December 2019. Florida State University graduate student Greta Mikell was the first woman in the 3.1-mile race, placing fifth overall in 23:57.


Chad Northcutt of Quitman, Georgia took the runner-up spot with a 20:24. Valdosta's William Thornton placed third in 21:38.


Hannah Gandy of Valdosta ran 30:04 to finish second in the women's standings and sixth overall in 30:04. Sheri Swader of Lake Park, Georgia was the top master runner in the race, placing seventh in the women's standings and seventh overall in 30:28.


39 athletes finished the 2019 Phi Mu 5K. A Course/Line, LLC, of Valdosta timed the race and provided finish line services.
