On Saturday morning, 10 February 2018, 25 runners braved the Kold (54 °F and foggy with a slight breeze) of Americus, Georgia to finish the sixth annual Kiwanis Kold Run 5K. Jaren Hill of Americus was the fastest of those kold warriors, winning the race in 22:49. Vienna, Georgia athlete Caitlin Mixon won the women's title, placing third overall in 24:21.Byromville, Georgia's Bucky Thompson was second overall in 23:45. Roger Keel of Beulah, Alabama was the first master runner in the race and the third male finisher, placing fifth overall in 26:12.
Maya Wynn, a frosh cross-country runner on the Furlow Charter School team, was second in the women's standings and fourth overall in 25:25. Clarissa Cadogan of Americus was the third woman and tenth overall in 28:00. Catherine Daughety of Smithville, Georgia was the first woman master and fourth female finisher, fifteenth overall in 35:16.
RANREB Timing Services of Cordele, Georgia timed and scored the Americus Kiwanis' sixth annual Kold Run 5K.
