After runner-up finishes at the Tulip Trot 5K on 27 January 2018 and the Wolf Dash 5K on 3 February 2018, Kurt Dietrich was first across the finish line at the sixth annual Break-A-Leg 5K on Saturday morning, 17 February 2018. Dietrich posted a 19:07 in the Tallahassee, Florida race. Master runner Nancy Proctor won the women's division, placing fifth overall in 23:49.Leon High senior Isaac Bakan took second in the race, running 21:43. David Yorio was the top master runner in the 5K, placing third overall in 22:52.
Anna Dower was second in the women's standings and eighth overall in 24:22. Dana Siomins was the third woman and tenth overall at 25:42.
111 athletes finished the 3.1-mile race, a fundraiser for Tallahassee's Young Actors Theatre.
