Finishing more than half a kilometer ahead of the next runner, Stanley Linton ran 15:52 to win the Deer Run 5K in the Killearn Lakes area of Tallahassee on Saturday morning, 9 November 2014. It was a new record for the race, over a minute faster than the previous record of 17:08 run by Jay Wallace in 2010. It was also Linton's 24th victory in 2013.Nate Kaiser finished runner-up in the 3.1-mile race, running 17:45. Eric Godin took third in 17:57. The top master in the Deer Run 5K was Dmitry Dukhovskey, placing eighth overall in 19:18.
Micah Adriani took the women's title, finishing 14th overall in 20:12. Mary Anne Grayson of Thomasville, Georgia, was the second woman finisher and first woman master, coming in 19th overall in 21:16.
202 athletes finished the 2013 Deer Run 5K, with another 127 completing a one-mile fun run.
