Tallahassee's top 10K road times in 2014 (through March 29)

As expected, the 2014 lists of Tallahassee's top road 10K performances looked entirely different after the Springtime 10K. After all, it was only the second 10K of the year on a certified course, and as the city's premier 10K road race it draws a field of fast runners.


The fastest of those was Kevin Sullivan, who debuts on the list at #1 with his 32:03 Springtime winning time. Sullivan also won last year's Springtime, and his 31:42 there ended up being the fastest 10K road time in Tallahassee for 2013. This time around, there's no guessing who has the fastest master time, because Sullivan turned 40 shortly before the Springtime Road Race. Chris Lake enters the list at #2 with his 33:37 from Springtime. Eric Larson, who had the top performance on the previous 10K list, lowered his time to 34:13 but still fell to #3.


Katie Sherron opened the year at #1, but in spite of improving her best time of 2014 by over a minute to 40:09, Seeley Gutierrez took over the top spot on the women's list with a 38:09 in the Springtime 10K. Carrie Seiberlich crashed the women's list at #3 with her Springtime 10K mark of 41:16. Seiberlich also has the fastest performance by a woman master this year...so far.


Ronald McDonald House's Red Shoes Run in Southwood on 19 April 2014 will be the next 10K on a certified course in the Tallahassee area. After that, it's a long wait till the fall for your next chance to improve your place on the list.
