Neither Dasher nor Dancer, nor Prancer nor Vixen were at Crawfordville, Florida's fourth annual Reindeer Run 5K. Not Comet or Cupid, not Donner or Blitzen were in evidence at the race on Saturday morning, 3 December 2016. But Bryce Cole, a senior on the Wakulla High cross-country team, was there. Successfully defending his 2015 title in the race, Cole won the race in 16:57, finishing more than 900 meters ahead of the next runner. Aleoha Walker was the first woman in the race, placing fourth overall in 23:59.Crawfordville's Michael Cipriano was the fastest master runner in the race, placing second overall in 20:48. Scott Stewart, another Crawfordville master runner, was third overall in 21:15.
Sherri Peavy of Tallahassee was the first woman master and second female finisher, sixth overall in 24:15. Tallahassee Community College cross-country runner Jeanna Prisco was third in the women's standings and seventh overall in 25:54.
41 athletes finished the 2016 Reindeer Run 5K, a benefit for the Wakulla Senior Center Meals on Wheels program. Miles and Minutes, LLC, of Tallahassee timed the race.
