Hector Espino was the fastest master runner in the Anchors Away 6K, placing second overall in 24:16. Master runner Dan Station edged Joel Jason for third overall, 25:11 to 25:16.
Master runner Autumn Peters was second in the women's standings and fifteenth overall in 31:40. Amy Kantner and master runner Debbie Chitwood had a close race for the third spot in the women's rankings, but Kantner prevailed, 31:57 to 32:00. Kantner and Chitwood finished sixteenth and seventeenth overall.
91 athletes finished the 2017 Anchors Away 6K. Proceeds of the race benefit Anchorage Children's Home. Gulf Coast Race Timing of Panama City, Florida timed the race.
