The NCAA Cross-Country Nationals are coming to Tallahassee

The Florida State University Seminoles will host the 2021 NCAA Division 1 Cross-Country Championships at Leon County's Apalachee Regional Park Championship Cross-Country Course, east of Tallahassee. The NCAA announced championship hosts for 2018 through 2021 on Tuesday, 18 April 2017. In addition to the National Championships on 20 November 2021, the NCAA also revealed that Florida State will be hosting Regional Championships on 9 November 2018 and 13 November 2020.


The other future NCAA Division 1 Cross-Country National Championship hosts are the University of Louisville at E. P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky on 18 November 2017; the University of Wisconsin at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison on 17 November 2018; Indiana State at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross-Country Course in Terre Haute on 23 November 2019; and Oklahoma State at the OSU Cross-Country Course in Stillwater on 21 November 2020.

Since its dedication in 2009, the Apalachee Regional Park Championship Cross-Country Course has been the venue for many high-profile races. Florida's high school cross-country runners have raced at ARPXC for their State Championship since 2012, and the course has also been the site for the NCAA Division 1 South Regional, the FACA Senior All-Star Classic, the NJCAA Region 8 Championship, the USATF Masters 5K National Championship, the USATF Club Nationals, and the AAU Youth Nationals.
