Gerardo Olivera, a senior on the cross-country team at Lowndes High, placed runner-up in 19:25. Lake Park, Georgia's Ryan Kelly, the coach of the Valdosta High cross-country team, was third overall in 19:34.
Morgan Long of Valdosta took second in the women's standings and eighth overall in 24:03. Another hometown athlete, Valdosta's Daun Caruana, was the third woman and eighteenth overall in 27:37. Delleese Collins of Valdosta was the first woman master and sixth female finisher, 22nd overall in 29:49.
78 athletes finished the 2018 James Eunice Legacy 5K. A Course/Line, LLC, of Valdosta timed the race and provided finish line services.
