Apalachee Regional Park's 2019 cross-country schedule--the second decade begins

It really has been ten years.


Carved out of old cow pasture and Florida jungles on the slopes of the Lake Lafayette basin, the Apalachee Regional Park Championship Cross-Country Course opened for competition in 2009. The first races were at the Florida State University Invitational Cross-Country Meet on Saturday morning, 10 October 2009. There have been dozens and dozens of events since then, most recently the USATF Cross-Country National Championships on 2 February 2019. ARPXC has become the annual home of the FHSAA's Florida High School Cross-Country State Championship and the NJCAA Region 8 Cross-Country Championship. Harrier fans look forward to the 2021 season, when the NCAA Division 1 Cross-Country National Championships will be run on the Apalachee Regional Park course.

There have been ten seasons of racing so far at ARPXC, a full decade. The second decade begins on Thursday afternoon, 29 August 2019 with the first meet of the new season--the Apalachee Regional Park Middle School Invitational. That and the rest of this year's racing at ARPXC are included in the schedule below.
