Michael Niezgoda is new on the 2018 men's list after running a second-place 17:55 in the Shamrock Scurry, putting him sixth in the rankings. Tony Guillen also made the rankings for the first time this year, eighteenth on the men's list on the strength of the 18:40 he ran at the Shamrock Scurry. Those two newcomers knocked two other runners out of the top 25, of course. It now takes 19:00 or better to make the men's list.
Bonnie Klamm made her first appearance in the women's rankings after what was probably her first appearance in a Tallahassee road race, a 21:12 showing in the Shamrock Scurry. Klamm, a Washington state runner, is now tenth on the women's 5K list. Jenny Early is ranked for the first time in 2018, 22nd on the women with her 22:29 from the Shamrock Scurry. Corinne Porcher moved from #25 on the women's list to #23 after running 22:30 at the Shamrock Scurry, the fastest time by a woman master on the Tallahassee roads so far in 2018.

Which performances get included in the rankings? Performances that meet these criteria:
- The race has to be in Tallahassee (anywhere in Leon County is fine)
- The race has to be run on a USATF certified course
- The race has to have published results
- I have to see the results
And then there's fall.
