North of Tallahassee on the Centerville Conservation Community course of the Big Bend Habitat For Humanity 5K, Kurt Dietrich posted a winning time of 18:44. That would have put him among the top 20 men, but Dietrich was already in the top ten--seventh, actually, after running 17:57 at the Run For The Cookies 5K on 10 February 2018. The men's rankings are unchanged. Charlie Johnson still has the year's best performance by a man on the Tallahassee roads--16:15.

Sheryl Rosen was right behind Dietrich in the Habitat 5K, running 18:47, breaking 19:00 for the first time in 2018, and improving her best time on the year by sixteen seconds. Rosen doesn't move up on the women's list, but she has a stronger hold on the #3 position. Rosen is closer to the top of the women's list than before, but Adriana Piekarewicz still heads that list with a 17:59.

A fast performance at any Tallahassee road race on a USATF-certified 5K course could change the rankings. There are three such races scheduled for April--the 43rd annual Springtime Road Race 5K on 7 April 2018, the 44th annual Palace Saloon 5K on 21 April 2018, and the fifth annual Nene Fest 5K on 28 April 2018. After that, you'll have to wait till 4 July 2018 for the 36th annual Firecracker 5K. And it's a still longer wait for the 37th annual Sickle Cell 5K on 8 September 2018 and the 37th annual Tallahassee Women's Distance Festival 5K on 22 September 2018.
